Cannot see Top Navigation Dropdown with Power Pivot Gallery Library

Prashant Lakhlani -

Looking for a way to display HTML over a Silverlight application (such as Top Navigation Dropdown) you’ll need to set the Silverlight control’s "windowless" parameter to "true" to make sure it doesn't overlay other page elements. This can be done using the param tag as shown in below bold line:

Example Code

<object data="data:application/x-silverlight-2," type="application/x-silverlight-2" width="100%" height="100%">
    <param name="source" value="ClientBin/HTMLAndSilverlight.xap"/>
    <param name="onError" value="onSilverlightError" />
    <param name="background" value="white" />
    <param name="minRuntimeVersion" value="4.0.50401.0" />
    <param name="autoUpgrade" value="true" />
    <param name="windowless" value="true" />
    <a href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=149156&v=4.0.50401.0" style="text-decoration:none">
         <img src="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161376" alt="Get Microsoft Silverlight" style="border-style:none"/>
    </a>
</object>
