How to resolve error 204 - user doesn't have read/write permission for database?

In general, you will see this error at the time of installing any Emgage product or on the license page in following conditions:

  1. You are using Windows authentication in connection string and application pool identity user for  the web application is not having read/write access to the specified database
    Ask your database administrator to grant dbo permission on the specified database to application pool identity user for the web application.

  2. You are using SQL server authentication in connection string and specified user is not having read/write access to the specified database
    Ask your database administrator to grant dbo permission on the specified database to the specified user.
